Amtrak Police FOP Lodge 127F teamed up with Chaos Fab Shop to host an
off-road charity ride event for C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police
C.O.P.S- Concerns of
Each year, between 140 and 160 officers are killed
in the line of duty and their families and co-workers are left to cope
with the tragic loss. C.O.P.S. provides resources to help them rebuild
their shattered lives.
Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (C.O.P.S.)
provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of
surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers
who have died in the line of duty as determined by the Federal Bureau
of Investigation (FBI), Public Safety Officers' Benefit (PSOB),
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Officers' Memorial
Fund (MLEOMF) or Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) criteria.
Furthermore, C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on
survivor victimization issues and educates the public of the need to
support the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
event will be held on Saturday May 31st 2014 at Chaos Off-road Park in
Capon Bridge, WV
***This is a 1 day event***
road park – Chaos Racing & Trail Rides, Capon Bridge, WV (12 miles
$75.00 is the entrance fee, which includes 2 raffle
tickets/vehicle trail rides total, no additional per person camping
fee, free camping, free firewood.
$5.00 per raffle ticket. You can
wheel the next day if you would like.
Bring family and friends,
this event is fun for all. When you are not trail riding, enjoy lots
of different off-road games such as the “Barrel Boss”, “Egg-Race” and
the “Slowest Crawl”, and family friendly festivities such as bouncy
house, face painting, pillow toss, and washers.
You do not have to
trail ride, come out to hangout. Friendly fun for the family.
Camping is available
8 AM – Driver’s Meeting & line
9 AM – Go trail ride
12 pM – Come back in for lunch
PM – Go back out on trails
5 PM – Everyone back to camp
6 PM –
Chaos Barrel Boss
7 PM – Dinner together and Bon fire
8 PM –
12 aM – All vehicles off the trails
Food truck will
be on site
Each item sold from the food truck, $1.00 will be donated
A raffle will be active during the event.
DIRECTIONS – Chaos Off Road Park, Capon Bridge, WV 26711
BALTIMORE: Take I-70 past Frederick, MD to I-81 south. (Hagerstown)
Be sure to go south on I-81 across the Potomac River.
You’ll go from
Maryland into West Virginia on I-81 south.
25-30 miles later take a
right, Exit 317 west. See next.
Exit 317 west – Go ½ mile, bear
right, stay on 37S-50W for four (4) miles.
(Don’t take Rt 522 to
Stay left and keep going another 2 miles to exit
right for 50W.
A good landmark for Rt 50 west exit is the hospital
on the left
and Marriott Hotel on your right.
Go west for approx
11 miles past the sign that says Gore (Rt 751).
Stay on Rt 50W
another ½ mile and LOOK for the Gore
Volunteer Fire Dept on your
right. Parking available if you need
to meet someone.
VFD go another 7 miles into Capon Bridge bridge.
*** Go slow in
Capon Bridge (25 MPH) as police are watching. ***
Cross over the
bridge and take immediate right onto Cold Stream Rd.
Go 4 ½ miles to
see the Big Dogs and Chaos signs. Turn left onto the
gravel road and
go another ½ mile to the park on your right.
Follow the signs.
FROM D.C.: Take I-66 west to I-81 north. I-81 north to Exit 317 west,
FROM PENNSYLVANIA: Take I-81 south to Exit 317 west
and follow above.
FROM VIRGINIA AND POINTS SOUTH: Take I-81 north
to Exit 317 west and
follow directions above.
FROM WEST AND WEST
VIRGINIA: Take Rt 50 east from Romney, WV to just before Capon Bridge
bridge. Turn left onto Cold Stream Rd. Go 4 ½ miles to Big Dogs and
